The scientific committee acknowledges that the
dissertation includes a series of very advanced empirical studies on inquiry
learning using simulation and modelling tools. The work is state-of- the art,
the methods are appropriately selected and applied, and the results are
interesting and critically discussed. The studies build on each other and their
individual contributions to advance the state-of the art can be clearly
recognized.
The scientific committee concludes that within its genre
this research is world class with its precision, high level of rigor and the
discussion and conclusion is very advanced. The problem and problem formulation
is based on deep insight and its origin within TEL.
