A Community for Researchers in Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL)
To support technology for learning in Africa it is important to build a research base that has been generated by African research projects as well as being informed by worldwide research. One aim of this resource is to support African researchers to become active members of the TEL international research community through the development of a network that can support the writing of papers and research proposals.
In this section of the KalAfrica website we will propose on-line services for supporting research. Complementary to news about relevant events and projects that one will find in the "Resource section", we will propose here interactive tools to support research.
We know that for any research student it is both important and difficult to begin the process of writing for an academic journal. We aim to develop a group of researchers who are already experienced in publishing who would be willing to offer on-line support for the writing process. The support could be provided through one-one exchanges or through the setting up of groups of students all writing papers around a similar theme. This relates to building research capacity and the overall aim is that as the new researchers become 'old-timers' within the community, they will also begin to offer support.
