The Culture Programme is a single multi-annual programme proposing funding opportunities to all cultural sectors and all categories of cultural operators contributing to the development of cultural cooperation at European level.

University of Sussex, Department of Informatics in collaboration with London Knowledge Lab

This year’s workshop, based in Brighton, will be a chance to not only get to know the other postgraduate researchers in the HCT field and present your work to the attendees through a digital poster session, but also an opportunity to actively focus on crucial progress specific skills which may help you complete your own research. The workshop will also provide the opportunity to discuss and work through research problems with other postgraduate students as well as with more experienced researchers

1. Send in a 400 word abstract outlining your current research

2. Some aspects of the workshop will be year specific, therefore please indicate whether you would like to take part in activities intended to support the work conducted in the first year (idea generating, knowing what’s expected of you), second year (research methods, ethics guidelines, data analysis), or third year (writing up, life after the PhD).

The Third International Conference on Availability, Reliability and Security (“ARES 2008 – The International Dependability Conference”) will bring together researchers and practitioners in the area of dependability. ARES 2008 will highlight the various aspects of dependability - with special focus on the crucial linkage between availability, reliability and security.

AIM:
ARES aims at a full and detailed discussion of the research issues of dependability as an integrative concept that covers amongst others availability, safety, confidentiality, integrity, maintainability and security in the different fields of applications.

ARES is devoted to the critical examination and research challenges of the various aspects of Dependable Computing and the definition of a future road map.
