Computer-based Analysis and Visualization of Collaborative Learning Activities (CAViCoLA) >http://cavicola.noe-kaleidoscope.org/

The ERT « Computer-based Analysis and Visualization of Collaborative Learning Activities » strives to investigate in computer-based methods for analysing collaborative learning scenarios, their realization in algorithms and tools, and their practical use in authentic learning setups. This will manifest itself in joint trans-national studies of collaborative learning activities and evaluation of the studies with computer-based analysis and visualization tools. (read more...)

Computer-Supported Scripting of Interaction in Collaborative Learning Environments >http://cossicle.noe-kaleidoscope.org

The ERT «Computer-Supported Scripting of Interaction in Collaborative Learning Environments» aims to facilitate conceptualization and realization of scripted collaborative learning environments by investigating, specifying and formalizing computer-supported collaboration scripts based on scripted cooperation approaches of Educational Psychology. Conditions for productive networked learning environments >http://pl.noe-kaleidoscope.org

Networked Learning is central to the way we will learn in the future, both in formal education and in the work place. We are trying to transform eLearning in Europe, working towards the development of more dynamic eLearning communities. Networked learning provides opportunities to connect learners across time and space, allowing them to collaborate on projects and share resources more productively and playful than in traditional learning environments. Networked learning enhances international collaboration and virtual mobility. The ERT explore and conceptualize conditions for productive learning in networked learning environments. (read more...)

Integrating Collaborative, Inquiry and Experiential Learning (CIEL) >http://ciel.noe-kaleidoscope.org

The CIEL is to produce a shared research program on the design of innovative learning scenarios for Collaborative Inquiry and Experiential Learning. This will be done by working towards a common theoretical framework, an collection of methods, as well by technical integration in the for of a Common Architecture for CIEL learning Environments. Production of educational formats >http://formats.noe-kaleidoscope.org

The ERT Production of Educational Formats proposes to reconsider the concept of lesson plan in education and the way this affects how learning takes place, fro an interdisciplinary perspective. The main aim of Production of Format is to provide an heuristic role to actual and new formats for designing new tools, technologies and settings that mediate the teaching/learning activity.
We aim at broadening the current model of LMS systems, by eliciting elements that are important in a learning process but that are currently not addressed by those systems. Our conceptual tool aims at supporting not only the management of learning activities but also two additional dimensions: Design and Reflection. Our research policy is to build on the multidisciplinary backgrounds of our different teams to come up with a shared definition of the constitutive elements of a learning format and to define how they interrelate with one another.
