Sharp Laboratories of Europe is seeking exceptional candidates with a passion for R&D to help us develop next-generation educational technologies and systems. As part of a team, you will lead and contribute to projects in the emerging field of mobile and ubiquitous learning.

Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting innovative research on software technologies for education
• Building and evaluating prototypes of developed concepts
• Keeping up with the latest developments in the field
• Promoting and transferring your results within Sharp

Ideally you will have a Masters or PhD, or equivalent postgraduate experience, in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline. Successful candidates will have good software programming skills and experience or interest in m-learning or e-learning. Experience of ubiquitous computing will be advantageous. In addition, you should have a proven ability to generate new ideas, a strong drive to solve the most challenging technical problems, and be motivated by seeing the results of your research in commercial use.
