With the opening of the 8th International Conference of the Learning Sciences (ICLS2008) in Utrecht, The Netherlands only five weeks away we'd like to inform you that registration for the conference and for a number of the workshops is still possible.
We're really happy to
announce that ICLS2008 looks like a success on at least two fronts.
First, the number and quality of proposals and of accepted papers,
symposiums and workshops has exceeded our expectations. With more than
200 presenters this will be the most informative ICLS ever. There will
also be 9 keynotes: 1 opening keynote by Yrjo Engëström and 4 duo
keynotes on Games in Education and Society, Learning Sciences and
Teaching, Learning Sciences and Technology, and the Effects of Learning
and Education on Society (http://www.isls.org/icls2008/Keynotes.html).
Also, with more than 400 registered participants from around the globe,
this will also be the best attended and most international ICLS ever.
This is your chance
to meet and hear presentations from the top names in the fields of
learning sciences, collaborative learning and so forth and to discuss
and network about these topics with colleagues from around the world.
Thursday June 26, is our Game Day, with keynotes and
many presentations and workshops about gaming and learning.
