On 08 June 2006
Location: Aalborg University (Denmark)
Kaleidoscope participants, Lone Dirckinck-Holmfeld and Ann Bygholm of Aalborg University (Denmark) are organising an international seminar on Innovating Problem Based Learning through Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The aim of the seminar is to share the experiences and the learning generated by researchers and pedagogical designers using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to innovate teaching and learning with the national and international community. Many researchers are participating in international projects employing Problem Based Learning (PBL) and similar concepts in international contexts. ICT is often the vehicle for collaboration and transformation. The seminar focuses on the integration of ICT and problem oriented project-based learning and more generally on issues and aspects related to the transformation of face-to-face learning into innovative teaching and learning using ICT. The seminar shares a special interest in understanding intercultural conditions for the ICT and learning transformation process such as pedagogical traditions, human resources and competence building, and social and cultural issues.
