Responsibilities:
· Responsibility for CET's Teaching with Technology Grants project (co-ordination and contribution to fund-raising)
· Responsibility for Open Educational Resources (OER)- UCT project
· Designing and/ or working with the Learning Designer and Graphic Designer onto create specific resources (in the form of audio, video, simulations etc) in collaboration with UCT academics
· Responsibility for CET mixed mode delivery design projects
· Liaison with academics at UCT wanting to use technology to support teaching and learning activities
· Liaison with other CHED units with regard to supporting academics' teaching and learning activities
· Contribution to CET staff development activities
· Teaching on UCT's post-graduate programme in Education (ICTs)
· Supervision of student research (especially at Masters level)
· Research in areas related to curriculum development and integration of ICTs (and related areas) is expected

Requirements:
· Curriculum development experience using ICTs
· Experience using ICTs in teaching (mixed or blended modes of delivery)
· Relevant experience in Higher Education
· Excellent knowledge of key issues and trends in educational technology
· Appropriate research experience and outputs
· Excellent communication and inter-personal capabilities
·Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
· Project management experience
· At Senior Lecturer level: At least a Masters Degree and experience teaching and supervising students. Commitment to a PhD important

The following would be an advantage:
· Knowledge of Open Education Resources
· Resources production experience
· Fundraising experience
