Call for papers: Themes in Science and Technology Education
Special Issue: "Computer-aided language analysis, teaching and learning: approaches, perspectives and applications".
Themes in Science and Technology Education will
devote a special issue to perspectives and innovative approaches to the use of
computer and information technologies in the analysis, teaching and learning of
human language.
The aim of this
special issue is to provide a set of high-quality scientific papers that present
original empirical research, pedagogical innovations validated by research,
research reviews, theoretical perspectives or practical applications. Authors
are invited to submit original papers on research results or novel applications
of ICT in language analysis, teaching and learning. The orientation of the
papers is towards studies that take into account recent theoretical advances,
empirical findings and technological developments. It is envisioned that high
quality research-based products and procedures are required for advancing the
science and application of human language teaching. Researchers and
practitioners should benefit from novel insights and real-world experiences in
developing or applying computer and communications technologies to the domain of
language teaching.
Themes within the
scope of this special issue include:
- Applications of ICT for language analysis (e.g., corpus analysis,
readability analysis).
- Language teaching technologies (e.g., CBT, teaching delivery systems,
case studies).
- Language learning technologies (e.g., CALL, VLEs, learning assessment and
