Call for book chapters: "Evaluation in e-learning"
 
The goal of this book is to collect and present the various qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods and approaches proposed last years for e-learning courses and programmes, as they have been applied in real practice.

Scope of the book
There are several qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods and  approaches proposed last years for e-learning courses and programmes  which support the measure and weight of attributes like learners'  satisfaction, quality of learning objects, suitability of learning  strategies, cost benefits, and so on.
The goal of this book is to collect and present the various evaluation  approaches as they have been applied in real practice. Criticism about  these approaches will be made and lessons learned from their application will be given.

Audience

The audience of this book will be the community of researchers /  educators / students / educational managers interested in the current  trends in the evaluation approaches of e-learning.

Topics
Authors are invited to write chapters about the applicability of evaluation approaches in authentic e-learning environments.
Recommended topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
* State of the art in evaluation approaches
* Tools for supporting the evaluation of e-learning courses
* Evaluation approaches in computer supported collaborative learning environments
* Real world case studies and good practices
* Economic evaluation of e-Learning environments
* Tools for (semi) automatic evaluating e-learning courses
* Evaluation approaches of lifelong e-learning courses

Submission Procedure and Key Dates
Prospective authors are invited to submit chapter proposals of 200-500  words before January 31, 2010 via e-mail at book.eval@gmail.com. In  their proposal, prospective authors should include:
* The title of the proposed chapter and the name and affiliations of  all the authors.
* The purpose and the contents of their proposed chapter.

Authors will be notified as to whether their proposal has been accepted,  and authors of accepted chapters will be sent chapter guidelines by  March 31, 2010.
Authors of accepted proposals are expected to submit their full chapters  by June 20, 2010. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a  double-blind review basis.
All accepted chapters (maximum 15 pages) will be double-blindly reviewed.
