The special track chair on behalf of the International Conference on Interactive Computer Aided Learning (ICL) 2009 organizing committee invites proposals for special tracks to be organized as special item of the ICL conference. The IC is an interdisciplinary conference which aims to focus on the exchange of relevant trends and research results as well as the presentation of practical experiences in interactive computer aided learning. The purpose of special tracks is to provide an interdisciplinary forum for international scientists and practitioners to present and discuss interesting research ideas and finding on specific and emerging topics in web-based learning.
The ICL Program Committee invites researchers from industry and academia to take this opportunity and submit Special Track Proposals on emerging or hot topics in the scope of the conference. All proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by the ICL Organizing Committee. Workshop attendees have to register and pay for the full ICL conference. The special track chairs are responsible to organize their own program committees and to administer the review process in order to guarantee contributions of high quality. The ICL team provides the special track chairs access to the paper submission and review system. All accepted paper will be published in the ICL proceedings.

Special Track Requirements for submission
Special track proposals should be no longer than 3 pages and should include the following information:
General information:
o Names, affiliations, and a short bio of the organizers (we encourage international teams of organizers from different institutions)
Information of the special track:
o Name of the special track
o Special track topic
o Relevance of the special track to the conference
o Target audience: who might be interested in the special track and why
o Expected number of participants
o Goals and format (oral presentations, posters, etc.)
A draft of the special track's call for papers:
o A list of specific topics of interest
o Important dates (proposed submission deadline; proposed notification of acceptance)
o URL of site to host the special track information
o Preliminary list of the Program Committee with their affiliation
o A description of the paper reviewing and selection process
o Expected duration of the special track (half a day or a full day)
