ITS 2008 : Call for Demonstrations
ITS'2008 is pleased to announce the Demonstration Program and invite submissions for demonstration of research systems and prototypes, both for Intelligent Tutoring Systems and related tools.
The purpose of this program is to promote exchange of ideas, in a way that is not possible in the course of a paper presentation or a poster session.

Demonstrators shall make the session a dynamic experience bringing attendees to interact. Execution of scenarios proposed by the demonstrator and variant of those scenarios proposed by attendees are expected to create opportunities to :

- challenge the ideas behind the implementation ;
- assess the pro and cons of the methodology and technics used to embody those ideas ;
- give concrete examples of ITS to newcomers in the field of ITS ;
- see live demonstration of research systems and prototypes that we often hear about ;
- see the stage of achievement of ideas proposed in the course of a paper presentation or a poster session.

The selected proposals will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their system twice : on June 24th, 2008 before the welcome cocktail and on June 25th, concurrently with the poster session. Submission of a demonstration proposal on a particular topic does not preclude or require a separate submission of a regular paper on that topic. The selection of demos will be based upon a number of factors, including scientific contribution, originality, innovation and potential logistic constraints. Commercial products are eligible, but sales and marketing activities are not
appropriate.

*** An award will be given to the best demonstration. ***

Format and submissions requirements
An extended abstract of up to three pages, including the title, authors, full contact information, and technical content to be demonstrated must be provided. A detailed description of hardware and software requirements, such as space, site set ups, power supplies.
