Call for Contributions
The organizers of 5th European Forum 2007 have the pleasure in inviting all actors involved in Engineering Education to submit their contributions to the Forum. The participants are invited to submit the Proposal (abstract/ outline) electronically by 4th of September 2007.
The three Forum days comprise of four plenary sessions, three parallel sessions and three interactive working group sessions, which are divided into three tracks:
Theme A. New Roles and Responsibilities of Universities; pedagogy, processes and infrastructure
Theme B. Lifelong Competence Development; foresight, creativity and innovation
Theme C. Continuing Engineering Education; productivity, collaboration and networking
The plenary sessions include key-note speeches, expert panels and reporting from the working group sessions. Parallel sessions are highly interactive. The Forum is the fifth in a series of European Forums covering themes related to Continuing Engineering Education (CEE) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Previous European CEE Forums were held in Stuttgart, Lisbon, Vienna and in Trondheim
The outcome of the Forum will be a European State-of-the-Art report with the desirable future policy guidelines and proposals. The Forum will examine questions such as how the continuing engineering education can effectively response to the challenges of knowledge economy and to the changes in working life to support lifespan professional development.
The Forum is jointly organized by: European Society of Engineering Education (SEFI), Helsinki University of Technology Lifelong Learning Institute Dipoli (TKK Dipoli) and Rovaniemi University of Applied Science (Ramk), European Federation of national Engineering Associations (FEANI) and International Society for Engineering Education (IGIP).
