Computer-Supported Scripting of Interaction in Collaborative Learning Environments >http://www.iwm-kmrc.de/cossicle/

The ERT « Computer-Supported Scripting of Interaction in Collaborative Learning Environments » realizes computer-supported scripts to facilitate interaction of collaborative learners with the help of a MOdelling LAnguage for COllaborative LEarning processes (MOLACOLE). The ERT is a spin off of the JEIRP MOSIL and is based on the conceptual work of its precursor MOSIL as well as prior work on standardising languages, e.g. EML, and cognitive models of collaborative learning of Educational Psychology. The proposed ERT aims to continue work on the script aspect of MOSIL within an extended time frame (four years) and intensified partnerships of the ERT members with a joint research agenda including longer mutual visits of junior researchers, PhD training activities, and co-supervision of their PhD work in order to facilitate the sustainable development of a shared scientific policy. Conditions for productive networked learning environments >http://www.ell.aau.dk/index.php?id=48

The Kaleidoscope European Research Team (ERT) on Conditions for Productive Networked Learning Environments will extend and further develop the work, which was initiated in the Jointly Executed Integrating Research Project (JEIRP) on Conditions for Productive Learning in Networked Learning Environments. The JEIRP was focused on shaping a common research framework, and theory and methods around the problem area “conditions for productive learning in networked learning environments” (Dirckinck-Holmfeld et al. 2004). This work will continue, but the ERT will further develop a mechanism to facilitate joint working that can overcome the necessary differences between the organisation, funding profiles and theoretical understanding of the different partners. Two new partners have furthermore joined the ERT. (read more...)

Production of educational formats >http://www.unisi.it/dida/kaleidoscope

This action propose a reconsideration on the concept of lesson plan in education and the way this affects how learning takes place. The ERP will investigate the historical and actual nature of education format adopted in different institutional (e.g. School, University), and not institutional bodies (e.g. Sailing clubs, Voluntary Organization), and build an inventory (digital library) of formats that could support the design of learning environments. Technology enhanced learning in mathematics >no website

ICT and math education:
The central role of science and technology in the “knowledge society” conflicts with the well known weakness of our educational systems in this domain. Mathematical learning difficulties are often a major obstacle in students education.
ICT can help to provide different opportunities to learning processes in mathematics:
- new ways to give meaning to mathematics concepts;
- new modes of interaction between students and knowledge;
- new kinds of social interactions among the different actors of the learning/teaching process
- new learning situation embedding technologicak tools. (read more...)
