From 07 June 2007 till 08 June 2007 Location: Galway, Ireland
The Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) at NUI Galway is delighted to announce our 5th Annual Teaching and Learning Conference, to take place on the 7th and 8th June, 2007. This year, the title is "Learning Technologies: from Pilot to Mainstream" and amongst the visiting keynotes are the distinguished elearning consultant and writer, Stephen Heppell; Prof. Wim van Petagem from K.U. Leuven, Prof Ray Land from the University of Strathclyde, Prof Michael Kerres (University of Duisberg Essen).
Aimed at academic staff (and suitable also for learning support staff) in higher education, this conference will focus on practical issues in the implementation and use of a range of technologies, providing insight into emerging "good practice," real world challenges and future potential. Our emphasis will be on teaching and learning, rather than technical issues and through a series of presentations, discussions and practical sessions we hope to be able to share experience and nurture networks of practitioners.
