Kaleidoscope featured various activities at the recent Online Educa Berlin conference and exhibition.
Prof. Barbara Wasson of InterMedia/University of Bergen (Norway) gave a well-received keynote speech entitled The Future of Research on Technology Enhanced Learning. [download Powerpoint slides]
Prof. Mike Sharples of the University of Nottingham (UK) presented Informal Mobile Learning. [download slides]

"The Future of E-Learning: Some Bright New Ideas" featured snapshots of research in different areas of e-learning. It was chaired by Prof. Nicolas Balacheff of CNRS (France), the Scientific Coordinator of Kaleidoscope [download slides]. Dr. Hans-Jürgen Westhof of the Information Society and Media Directorate-General, European Commission presented EU-supported research activities in technology-enhanced learning. Mabel Encinas of the Institute of Education, University of London presented Teachers learning of ICT for teaching [download slides]. Peter Sigrén of University College of Boras (Sweden) presented Artifacts of technology in multimedia-produced distance courses [download slides]. Prof. Agathe Merceron of Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs Léonard de Vinci, Paris, presented Scenarios for a Learning GRID [download slides].
Kaleidoscope was also present in the exhibition, and also shared its booth with the EU-funded Elegi network and VEMUS project.
