Integration of Spain within the European context – it is necessary to increase the Educational System standardization and flexibility, including a need to communicate, learn other languages, work collaboratively and use new technologies.

How do policy makers in Spain contribute to the country's technology enhanced learning agenda?
The Educational ministry has created several collaboration frame agreements between the different responsible of education and new technology in Spain in order to promote the new technologies.
CNICE: Centro nacional de informacion y comunicacion educativa, is the Educational Information and Communication national centre. Its programmes aim to integrate TIC in the educational environment.
It focuses on three main areas:
Distance training (formacion a distancia);
Internet in the school (Internet en el aula (leA)) whose main objective is to support the integration of Information and Communications Technology in Education, including the elaboration of bilateral agreement with the main Public Administration with education responsibility;
Collaboration (Colaboracion) that includes from one side the international collaboration as well as the collaboration with the regions.
There are several ongoing working groups:
ABIES, aplicación de bibliotecas escolares. Aims to provide public libraries for school children
Infraestructuras Tecnológicas: Aims to develop technological infrastructure
Contenidos para la Educación: Aims to provide educational content
Hermanamiento de Escuelas Europeas : Aims to create twining projects with European school

To develop an Educational television: with 2 TV programmes to promote educational issues
Portal web del CNICE: to facilitate the communication between the different stakeholders in the Spanish educational system, etc
