Political perspectives and Kaleidoscope’s contribution now and in the future
Whilst
the Lisbon Agenda and Bologna Declaration are clear, developing
strategies that enable research to contribute to Europe reaching those
aims requires very careful thinking. For a start, curricula are varied,
approaches to teaching and learning differ from a variety of
perspectives; cultural and social differences have an effect on
policies towards education. Kaleidoscope’s infrastructure provides the
opportunity for developing meaningful dialogue with policy makers at
local, regional, national and European levels. It can draw upon some of
the leading researchers in the field – members of Kaleidoscope, who
gain insight and inspiration from the network and who understand the
various and sometimes conflicting requirements of researchers,
businesses, teachers, end users, the public at large.
