The MATES initiative

The MATES initiative aims at providing a platform and a methodology to set up pedagogical experiments, by designing scenarios, implementing them on the platform and collecting effected trails. This methodology includes some ways to analyse effected trails of one experiment regarding the planned trails.

This initiative will benefit the TEL community by providing researchers with tools and methodology for implementing learning situations and collecting trails. The results coming from these experiments will allow better understanding of the learning mechanisms and finally will improve the TEL systems for end-users.
